Why You’ll Love This Recipe

If you love everything bagels, then you’re going to love this everything bagel hummus! Homemade hummus is quick and easy to make in just 5 minutes. It tastes so much better than store-bought and has minimal ingredients. I love making my own because I know what’s in it, so it’s not filled with additives and preservatives.

This is the best hummus recipe! Not only is it filled with savory flavor, but it’s processed until it’s perfectly smooth for the perfect texture. It’s a delicious vegan, plant-based snack or appetizer. Serve it with some crackers and your favorite veggies.

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas: A can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained.
  • Tahini: For a nutty flavor. Tahini makes hummus nice and creamy. If you’re not familiar with it, tahini is a paste made of ground sesame seeds.
  • Olive Oil: Good quality extra virgin olive oil is a must, plus more for drizzling on top.
  • Lemon Juice: Fresh lemon juice!
  • Water: Seltzer water for the best texture. You could use regular water instead, however the seltzer water gives it a nice and light texture.
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning: The main flavor of this hummus. You can find this blend in the spice aisle in most grocery stores. My favorite is Trader Joes Everything But the Bagel Seasoning.
