    Why You'll Love This Recipe

You are going to love how easy this salsa is to make. You just have to chop a few ingredients, then toss them together!

It's filled with fresh summer produce and is absolutely delicious! The best part is, it's customizable, so you can change it up to your own taste preferences.

    Ingredients

A handful of fresh ingredients comes together in this Fresh Mango Salsa.

    • Mango: Ripe red mangos, peeled, cored and diced. Be sure to select ones that are ripe. They should give slightly when gently squeezed. Learn how to cut a mango.
    • Red Onion: Diced red onion adds some crunch, mild onion flavor, and a pop of color.
    • Cilantro: Fresh cilantro, chopped. This adds a slightly citrusy fresh flavor.
    • Jalapeño: One jalapeño, seeds and membranes removed, minced. If you like a lot of spice, you can leave the seeds in and/or add another jalapeño to the salsa.
    • Lime Juice: Fresh lime juice is a must!
    • Sea Salt: To round out the flavors. Taste and add more as needed.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    1. Dice and chop ingredients to desired size.
    2. In a bowl, toss all ingredients together until combined.
    3. Taste and season with sea salt as needed. Serve and enjoy!

To Store: Refrigerate for up to 2 days in an air tight container.

    Variations

I love this Fresh Mango Salsa as it is, however it's a super flexible recipe that can be adjusted to your own taste! Try out some of these variations.

    • Add more veggies. Stir in some sweet corn, red bell pepper, cucumber, or green onion.
    • Mix in another type of fruit. Pineapple or even strawberries would give it some additional fruity flavors.
    • Make it spicy. For added spice, double the amount of jalapeños . To make it extra spicy, replace the jalapeño with a habanero pepper.
    • Choose other great mix-ins. Get creative! Use whatever you have on hand, but other great mix-ins could be black beans, avocado, or Roma tomatoes.

    Serving Suggestions

This salsa is so good that I could just eat it as a meal with some tortilla chips! It makes a great snack, appetizer, condiment, or even side dish.

Bring it as a refreshing appetizer with some tortilla chips to a picnic, bbq or cookout, pool party, or cinco de mayo celebration.

Top grilled chicken, fish, tacos, burrito bowls, grain bowls, or salads with it. It's even great mixed into some quinoa or rice for a delicious side dish.
