Why You'll Love This Recipe
You'll enjoy how easy it is to make this refreshing and customizable smoothie bowl. Just toss all the ingredients into the blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with your favorite toppings. Smoothie Bowls are like a smoothie, but a little thicker so you can eat them with a spoon.
Using frozen fruit is a great way to enjoy out of season produce all year round. Frozen fruit is typically picked at its peak ripeness, then immediately frozen, retaining nutrients. Here's more info on the health benefits of frozen fruit.

Ingredients
Frozen Cherries: You can make this any time of the year using frozen cherries. I love these Wyman's Dark Sweet and Red Tart Cherries. They're juicy, naturally sweet, and loaded with antioxidants.
Almond Milk: Unsweetened Almond Milk, or whatever type of dairy or non-dairy milk you prefer!
Greek Yogurt: 0% fat greek yogurt to thicken the smoothie base.
Maple Syrup: Pure maple syrup to sweeten it up.
Toppings: Fresh or thawed-frozen cherries, unsweetened shredded coconut, sliced almonds, and chocolate chunks. These are all optional, and you could leave out or substitute for whatever toppings you prefer.

Serving Suggestions
Smoothie bowls are best served immediately. I like to eat them for breakfast or an afternoon snack.
My favorite toppings for this particular smoothie bowl are more cherries, shredded coconut, sliced almonds, and chopped dark chocolate. You could leave out or substitute any of these toppings if you prefer. Other great topping options are granola, chia seed, or a drizzle of almond butter.
To make this into a regular smoothie, add a splash more almond milk while blending if needed. Leave off the toppings. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
