Turkey Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Ingredients.
  • Asparagus: Fresh asparagus spears with the woody ends trimmed. Look for firm, bright green asparagus spears that are similar in size. Read more about how to trim asparagus.
  • Olive Oil: Just a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil to help the asparagus roast perfectly in the oven.
  • Turkey Bacon: Turkey bacon slices. I like to use Wellshire Farms or Applegate. Keep in mind turkey bacon gets less crispy than regular bacon, so if you want that extra crisp, you can substitute it for regular bacon.

Variations

  • Make them cheesy. Sprinkle some crumbled feta, goat cheese, or shredded parmesan over the top before serving.
  • Add some sweetness. Drizzle a little maple syrup or honey over the bacon halfway through cooking. It’ll add the perfect balance to the salty bacon. You could also sprinkle a little brown sugar over the bacon before baking.
  • Use prosciutto instead of bacon. Try using prosciutto in place of the bacon. Bake them at 400°F for 10 minutes.
  • Grill them. Preheat the grill to medium heat. Grill the bundles directly on the grates for 4-5 minutes per side or until the bacon starts to crisp and asparagus is your desired tenderness.
  • Air Fry the bundles. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Air fry the bundles in a single layer for 10-14 minutes. Cook time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer.
