Earl Grey Iced Tea with Honey is a refreshing summer drink that's simple to make. Just brew the tea, mix in the honey, then let it cool before serving over ice.

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

I love making homemade iced tea because it tastes so much better than store-bought. It's citrusy, light and refreshing!

Not only is it delicious, but you can control what goes into it. I like my iced tea lightly sweetened, however you can customize it to make it your desired level of sweetened or unsweetened.

Iced tea is so easy to make. Simply brew a pitcher and refrigerate for up to a week. It's the perfect drink to cool off during the summer. We have plenty more summer recipes to help you plan your weekly menu.

    Earl Grey Iced Tea Ingredients

    • Water: 6 cups of filtered water.
    • Earl Grey Tea: 4 Earl Grey teabags, regular or decaffeinated.
    • Honey: A few teaspoons of honey. You can use as much or little honey as you like for your desired sweetness. You can even substitute with your favorite sweetener, like sugar or stevia.
    • Ice: For serving.
    • Lemon Wedges and Mint Leaves: Optional, for serving.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove the boiling water from the heat.
    2. Stir in the honey until combined. Add the teabags to the water and steep for 15 minutes. Remove the teabags and discard.
    3. Let the tea come to room temperature, before transferring to a pitcher or carafe.
    4. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon wedges and mint leaves, if desired. Enjoy!

To store, refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 1 week.

    Variations

    • Use a different sweetener. Instead of honey, you can sweeten the tea with sugar, coconut sugar, simple syrup, stevia, or any other sweetener you prefer.
    • Make an Arnold Palmer. Leave out the honey to make it unsweetened tea. Once cooled, mix in some lemonade.
    • Try another flavor! Green tea, raspberry, cranberry apple, or your favorite tea flavors would all work well.
    • You can use either regular or decaffeinated tea.

    Serving Suggestions

My favorite way to serve this Earl Grey Iced Tea with Honey is over ice with a lemon slice and sprig of mint. Though it's a crisp and refreshing drink for summer, I love to make it all year round.

It's a great non-alcoholic beverage to serve at a garden party, bbq, picnic or brunch.
