Description
Turkey Veggie Burgers are juicy, flavorful, and easy to make. They’re packed with vegetables and are ready in less than 30 minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
- 1/4 cup shredded zucchini
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons red bell pepper, finely diced
- 2 teaspoons burger seasoning
Instructions
- Using a paper towel, squeeze the excess moisture from the shredded carrots and zucchini. Place in a large bowl.
- Add the turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, red bell pepper, and burger seasoning. Mix until just combined. Divide the mixture and form it into 4 equal patties.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly spray with oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they’re cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Serve on buns with your favorite toppings or over a bed of lettuce.
Notes
Do not over-mix the ground turkey and veggie mixture. Mix it until it is just combined to prevent a tough burger.
Don’t press on them as they’re cooking. Pressing on the patties with a spatula can cause the juices to escape, making the burgers dry.
Use a meat thermometer. Turkey burgers should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
