Apple and Brie Crostini topped with warm cinnamon apples and honey. A 20-minute fall appetizer that’s perfect for holiday entertaining.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ baguette, cut into slices (about ½-inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, for brushing
- 4 ounces brie cheese, sliced
- 1 large honeycrisp apple, peeled and diced
- 1 ½ tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon honey, plus more for drizzling
- Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)
- Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on a baking sheet and lightly brush with olive oil. Bake for 4-5 minutes, just until lightly crisp.
- Place a slice of brie on each crostini. Return to the oven for 3-4 minutes, until the brie is melted.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the diced apples, honey, and cinnamon. Cook for 4-6 minutes, stirring often, until softened.
- Spoon the warm apple mixture over the melted brie. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired. For a sweeter crostini, drizzle with a little more honey. Serve warm and enjoy!
