Description

Hawaiian Roll Chicken Parm Sliders are the perfect party appetizer or dinner. They're cheesy and flavorful mini sandwiches that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken Tenders

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless, chicken tenders
  • 2/3 cup whole wheat seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 egg + 1 tablespoon water, whisked
  • olive oil spray

For the Sliders

  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls
  • 1 cup marinara, plus more for serving
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Make the breaded chicken tenders. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with olive oil. Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl. Place the egg mixture in another shallow bowl. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumbs. Place on the baking sheet. Spray the tops with olive oil and bake for 15 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
  2. Lower the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a medium baking dish with olive oil. Using a bread knife, cut the rolls in half, while leaving them connected to create a big slab. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Set the top half aside.
  3. Spread half of the marinara over the rolls. Layer with the cooked chicken tenders, the remaining marinara, and mozzarella cheese. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, parmesan, italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Brush the garlic herb mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  5. Cover the rolls with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes to toast the tops.
  6. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm!

Notes

To save time, you can use frozen chicken tenders or nuggets. Prepare according to package directions, then layer into the sliders.
