Description

Ground Turkey Taco Seasoning is easy to make and better than store bought. You can make it in less than 5 minutes with spices you likely have in your pantry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, mix together all the ingredients until combined.
  2. Use immediately in your favorite recipe, or store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Notes

For the freshest flavor, use within 6 months.

Make it spicy by adding a dash of cayenne pepper or add more crushed red pepper.

Make it smoky with smoked chili powder or smoked paprika.

Use 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning per 1 pound of meat plus 1/3 cup of water. Stir in a tablespoon of tomato paste when mixing the seasoning into your taco meat for even more flavor.
