Ingredients • flour • sugar • baking powder • earl grey tea  • fine sea salt • unsalted butter • plain greek yogurt • 1 egg • lemon juice and zest • vanilla extract • milk • lemon glaze

Step 1 In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, earl grey tea, and sea salt until combined. Add the butter and cut in using a pastry cutter or your hands, until crumbly. Place in the refrigerator while you prepare the wet ingredients.

Step 2 In a medium bowl, whisk  the greek yogurt, egg, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until combined. Stir the wet mixture into the flour and butter mixture until a soft and slightly sticky dough forms.

Step 3 Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Shape into a flat 7-inch circle. Using a sharp knife or bench scraper, cut into 8 even wedges.

Step 4 Transfer the wedges to a parchment lined baking sheet, spacing them at least 1-inch apart. Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400°F.

Step 5 Lightly brush the tops of the scones with milk. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until the tops are light golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Step 6 In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest and milk until combined. Add up to 1 more teaspoon of milk if the mixture is too thick. Drizzle over warm scones. Serve and enjoy!
